Holland is well-known for its cheeses. Our Gouda and Edam cheeses are famous known all over the world. Hundreds of millions of tons of cheeses is exported every year. Salim International supplies first-class Dutch cheeses for export overseas.

Besides traditional Dutch cheese, Salim International also supplies analog cheese; cheese alternatives used as culinary replacements for cheese. The low cost of the ingredients and the longer shelf life make the finished product attractive to businesses.

Dutch cheese

Gouda cheese
A semi-hard cheese with a rich, unique flavour and smooth texture, made from pasteurised cow’s milk. Gouda cheese is made from pasteurised cow’s milk and it is one of the most popular cheeses in the world.
Packaging: 3,5 kg bars or in 15 kg euro-packs.

Edam cheese
Edam cheese, also a semi-hard cheese, has a mild and creamy texture and is slightly salty. When the cheese matures it acquires a stronger flavour. It has a pale yellow color and is made with partially-skimmed pasteurized cow's milk.

Maasdam cheese
Maasdam cheese has a delicious sweet and nutty flavour and was initially created to compete with the populair Swiss Emmental cheese. Maasdam has internal holes that are formed during the ripening process.
